Let's get you back to doing what you love. Chiropractic care isn't JUST for aches and pains, but for your overall well-being
From grandparents to grandkids, Chiropractic is the most effective way to restore nervous system communication and ensure the optimal expression of life.
Dr. Tammy Bagdigian was born and raised in Connecticut. She was first introduced to chiropractic as a young child because she didn’t swing her arms when she walked. Those adjustments helped her nervous system communicate better and helped fix her problem, but they also frightened her. If you had asked Dr. Tammy back in 2012 if she would be a chiropractor today, she would have answered with a resounding NO, but all that changed when she walked into Dr. Michael Koster’s office for a job interview. She was hired as a CA and over the years learned the philosophy of chiropractic and witnessed the miraculous power of the body to heal itself when it was free from nerve interference. She also discovered that pediatric adjustments didn’t have to be as frightening as she remembered. After working with Dr. Mike for 5 years, she decided it was time to go back to school.
Dr. Tammy earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Specialization in Cell, Molecular, and Physiological Science from Central Connecticut State University in 2001. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport, School of Chiropractic in 2021 where she held numerous positions including serving as her class president. While still earning her Doctorate, Dr. Tammy attended numerous technique seminars where she learned Tonal Integrative Correction - a very gentle technique that does not create those typical “cracking” or “popping” sounds associated with chiropractic adjustments - and the Webster Technique - a technique used to help balance out the pelvis in pregnant women - among others. She is currently working on her perinatal and pediatric certifications through the ICPA. In addition to working at the Southington office, Dr. Tammy recently accepted a position as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at UBSC where she teaches CPR and other emergency procedures to future chiropractors.
A opportunity to sit down to ask questions and discuss your health goals and aspirations.
This includes a consultation, a detailed exam, imaging (as necessary) report of findings and adjustment as needed.
Chiropractic is the study of structure as it relates to nervous system function. When a vertebra moves out of alignment, subluxates, it can put pressure on the nervous system creating symptoms and health problems. Our focus is to restore proper alignment, through specific, gentle adjustments that clear interferences and best supports the full expression of life.
The schedule of care is different for all patients depending on your health needs. We usually start patients in Corrective care. This is our opportunity to get some more consistent care and help restore your system's baseline. Then we transition to maintenance care and on to wellness care. These are more periodic check ins to ensure the spine is holding proper alignment.
